iPod copy library from Mac to PC

I'm buying my sister an ipod touch for Christmas and I know she's going to want all of the music I have on my Mac. Is there any way I can somehow copy my itunes library (music, playlists, etc.) into itunes on her Windows PC? I have several ipods that I sync with my Mac and I'm wondering if there's a way that I can use one of them to accomplish this. Is there a way to basically sync one of my ipods back to her PC so that her itunes library ends up looking exactly like mine or is that impossible since my ipods are obviously Mac-formatted?

I'm assuming these are songs you ripped yourself.

You can enable disk use on the iPod and plug it into the PC. Navigate to the folder containing all the music (it may be hidden under Windows) and drag those to a temp folder on the Windows desktop. Once you've done that, drag the files from the Desktop to iTunes in Windows.

Another way is to copy the music files from your Mac to a portable drive, then copy them to the PC and then drag them into iTunes.

Thanks for your response. Yes, these are all songs I ripped myself or purchased. If I do this according to the way you posted, will all of my tags, playlists, etc. come over? Basically I want her itunes to look exactly like mine with the same exact library.

Crap - that's not going to work for me then. I put in way too much work creating all of my playlists and there's no way I'm going to recreate that on her computer. There has to be a way to do this though. I guess I'll need to do some more research to figure this out.

Does anyone else know how I can do this? I asked for help on another message board and they said that all I had to do was copy my itunes folder from my Mac over the itunes folder on my PC. I did that but none of my music is showing up in itunes and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have the itunes music folder location pointing to the right place but itunes is still empty. On the other message board they said that copying the itunes folder from Mac over the itunes folder on my PC would take care of everything including bringing over my playlists, smart playlists, album artwork, etc. Unless I'm doing something wrong, that certainly doesn't appear to be the case.

you could try a program called sharepod. drag the exe onto your ipod, then sync all the playlists and music onto one of the ipods. it should read all the playlists and copy them off

I don't think sharepod will work. I'm trying to copy my library from a Mac to a PC and Sharepod appears to work with Windows only.
