Copy music without creating playlists

Hi,
I don't know if I missed something but I can't copy music from iTunes to my 3GS otherwise that creating a playlist and then syncing it.

Is there a way to just drag and drop an album or songs ?

If you turn on "Manually manage songs and videos" then you can drag and drop.

Only put a check mark next to the songs that you want to sync and then make sure you have sync only checked songs and videos.
