Hi there. New to the forums but have been reading the home page for years.

I've been working on a little web app that allows some basic copy and paste in safari and thought people might want to check it out.

All comments welcome.

Thanks

its a bookmarklet and works in safari for mac and iPhone and firefox on win. It bombs out in IE (link to install won't even load) and I haven't tried anything else. Its really not meant for desktops since they can copy/paste.

Well I can tell from the lack of interest in this thread the people were pretty unimpressed.

I've posted up a beta version I'm working on that allows for copy and paste of most text on a page. It's a little buggy but if you're interested give it a go.

Feel free to ask questions or made suggestions.

Thanks.

Thanks- will check it out. It only works with Safari?

I just copied and pasted the post from above using this tool. As you can see it posts it all in line and removes HTML tags and replaces them with a space. Hence the multiple spaces. (multiple spaces don't show up normally so I wrapped it in code tags)

Just posting an update...

Version 1.2 is now available and let's you copy blocks of text from most web pages. If you only wanted a bit of it you can always edit it in the text box you paste into.

Thinking about future enhancements as we speak. If you have suggestions let me know.

thanks.
