Copy Program Files From Windows To Crossover Games?

So the game Rome total war apparently works with crossover games...

I have the game on a vista machine, I inserted a usb stick (8 gbs so it's enough space) and copied it from the windows c drive to the Applications folder in finder (Not the main applications folder of course) It looks like this:

"XXXXX"> Applications>Crossover Games>The Creative Assembly>Rome Total War


It copied with no problems, and I replaced RomeTW.exe with the no cd patch. When I start the game by clicking on the no cd, the 1st screen loads, then quits to the desktop. Is their a fix, or will I need to use the cds (If I can find them!)

I think some games/apps can be transferred by copying them, but you have to remember that in some cases Windows sticks data in different locations and it uses its registry to tell it where stuff is located. If a file copy does not work, you'll have to reinstall the game I guess.

Am I supposed to have a folder named "Applications" in my User Folder? b/c i sure don't... do you mean the applications folder at Macintosh HD/Applications? b/c my Crossover Games is just a .app there, not a folder...

I'm so lost as to where this applications folder is

A couple obvious things wrong here.

A. Windows programs may/may not put things in different areas as well as registry entries that allow the software to run. Simply copy and paste does not often work. Just FYI

B. Your location is off. By like a LONG way. Your putting the files in the wrong place. They need to reside in the bottle not the crossover.app.
