I have an app on my iPhone 6S+ that was removed from the app store. I'd like to install it on my 8+. I can't find a way to do this with iTunes 12.9 on my MacBook.

Is there a way to do this without having to restore the entire phone?

Apple removed that function from iTunes 12.x (can't remember the x). Apple still offers a version of iTunes with app management for those who need it; I believe it's 12.6.

Thank you both for the suggestions.

IMazing 2 looks great, but unfortunately I can't justify the cost since I only need it for this one app that is a nice to have but not critical.

I'll definitely take a closer look into iTunes 12.6!

Let it go, find a replacement somehow. Don’t waste your time.
It probably won’t work for so long any way if the app won’t be upgraded.

This is life in the app-era

Agree for most apps, Lioness~. But this one is kind of unique and there is no replacement app that I've seen. It's just a very simple grammar reference that really is nothing more than some type of mark up language compiled as an app. I'm sure that's why it failed and was taken down. Well that, and the price was high enough that few would buy it. Yeah, I know the info is everywhere but this app is very concise and great as a quick reference.

BTW, love your signature.

Your time, your money, your headache ;)
I just know that I’ve found new apps or new ways of working with things when apps I liked, when they stopped being upgraded. Faster then I could’ve imagined. Mind/habit changes is good at times too.
Good luck with it in any way.
Go read some more Rumi, and your head will be shifted soon :)
