Is there any way to copy my music (65gb or so) off of my PC/Windows-formatted iPod classic to my Macbook?

Senuti - it's free and it's good.

Macs can read/write to Windows-formatted iPods so there's no issue there.

Unless they're saved on there in hard drive mode you'll need software that will do that (and it's not free)

edit-oh yeah forgot about senuti....and i have it lol

Or just simply use software like Cocktail or TinkerTool to enable hidden folders and simply take the music from iPod/iTunes/Music. Most of the meta data will be intact. If your music is all purchased, iTunes can transfer purchases from the iPod onto the computer.

My old laptop just died this past week, so I ordered a Macbook.

My worry is that upon plugging in the iPod, iTunes will recognize it and erase the files/music. If I erase Senuti and then plug in my iPod, will I have this issue?
