Subject line says it all. Have any sites posted gaming benchmarks with the new core 2 Macbook Pros? I'm in particular interested in World of Warcraft, Fear, Call of Duty 2.

Yes two of those are windows only, comparing the Macbook Pro's windows gaming performance is valid and valuable!

Turned the settings all the way up in WoW and never fell below 20FPS.

With them in mid range they stayed much higher. And there should be a big jump once the next patch comes out. They're changing the way WoW processes graphics in OSX.

I play Quake 4 with my CD MBP, both the CD and C2D have the same graphics card, no problems.

I ordered mine to replace an Inspiron 9300 (which had an nVidia 6800 Go). When I get it I'll benchmark with 3DMark05 full edition.

Early consensus is that the MBP C2D scores about 4000 on 3DMark05, which would put in the same category as the current Inspiron "media" machines. It's not a gaming boutique laptop, nor is it meant to be. However, I will be doing a lot of gaming on it, and I think at the default resolution (for the 15") the 256 MB Radeon 1600 should hold up just fine.

the c2d may have the same graphics accelerator, but it is clocked higher. I too have run Quake 4 (the demo). It looks amazing.

It seems to have a fair amount of potential for higher overclocks as well...... seems like people have had no problem clocking it to 470/470, and someone here was even running at 500/500 with no artifacts, etc. (and the difference in fan noise/heat wasn't really any different from stock speeds).

Yep that would be me. I was actually running above 500/500: https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/3019543/

Gonna install BF2 right now and see how the FPS is using fraps over 2-3 mins of intense gameplay. If I get the time tonight I'll try to make a graph out of it. I'll see if I can install a couple other games and get benchmarks as well. I'm really tempted to open up this laptop and add some AS5 to help cool it even further.
