Considering it says that the desktop version shipped early, and THEN went further to say that the mobile version was shipping a month early (oh look, it's the 21st od July, when was Merom coming out? 22 August!)
I think the possibilities of Macbook Pros being updated is extraordinarily high.
As is the possibility of new XServes, Mac Pros, iMacs, Macbooks and Mac Minis (Tho still with C1D, just specs changed to take advantage of Yonah price drops), plus Leopard.
Great. They are going to have to roll out an entire new line of macs. This August 7 should be verry interesting.
BTW, Just as a statement, I personally would count the iMac as a professional computer now anyway When I bought my mini tower (the Cube) it clearly pwned the iMacs. Now, on the other hand, iMacs are far superior to the new mini towers (Mac Minis) in every way. Considering it's small, and more powerful than an MBP, I think that an iMac upgrade would fit in nicely at WWDC2006. But then again, with a 450Mhz G4, any computer looks like pro to me
. Sorta like a small bug (like an aphid) looking at us, who are similarly looking at Lord Steve...
Want iMac Ultra at WWDC. >2.4Ghz Conroe, 512Mb X1800, and 23" screen.
(Suddenly I feel like a twelve year old again...)
They CANNOT deny us our Merom MBPs!
