I'd like to get a realistic idea of how the X1600 performs in a macbook.

Could anyone link to a set of comprehensive gaming benchmarks of a macbook pro with a decent amount of ram? Obviously no Core 2 Duo benchmarks will be available, but the Core Duo ones should still be representative.

just to contribue

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html

Here's some comparitive benchmarks of different mobile cards.

Comparing the 7900 GTX to the X1600 the 7900 scored 1800 in 3DMark 06 while the 7900 GTX scored 4700. This is expected everyone knows the 7900 GTX is a better card but it just gives people an idea of what kind of performance they might expect in comparision to say a Dell XPS.

still looking

I'm still looking for comprehensive gaming benchmarks for a Core Duo Macbook Pro. I'm really surprised no one seems to have done this with Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, and other standards under bootcamp and windows.

thanks

Thanks for the barefeets info but unfortunately
- That doesn't include windows benchmarks. I am interested in windows gaming benchmarks as I expect to continue to play games that are not available for macs
- The benchmarks there for the macbook pro are all at very low and odd resolutions that are not easily comparable to other benchmarks

Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, these are the kind of benchmarks that would let me objectively compare the gaming performance of a macbook pro to other notebooks. Obviously that is not the primary purpose of a mac or what they are designed for but as I'd want to do that with my mac I want to know how it will perform.
