hello folks...

i was wondering whats the average temp on your macbook pro?
i have a 2.0 with 1 gb of ram with standart HD

this will show you how hot it is without going into konsole...

atm im not doing much with my mbp...just uploading a few files to an ftp server have safari,mail and adium open so nothing majorly expensive in resources....and get around 60-70 C as temp...

so whats yours?

and is mine to hot? whats the reccomended temp fo these cpu?

I'm not sure of the temperature of mine, but as a side note, if yours is running too hot, you could always bring it in to be checked. Also, if you go to System Preferences...->Processor and click "Show control in menu bar", then you can select to use just one core when you're not doing anything CPU-intensive - I've noticed a slight cool down (minor) by doing that.
 
well it doesnt feel too hot...i mean yeh fair enough would be nicer if it would be a bit less just for the sake of it....its just that it jumped to my mind that heatsperm thing they put on cpu's to cool it down better issue...that they might have thrown too much on mine or something i dont know...

do you know if i bring to an apple store if they would be doing the check? or will i need to ship it and dont have it for like couple of weeks?
 
If it doesn't feel too hot, I wouldn't bother bringing it in to be cracked open for no reason - especially because, whether or not they'd look at it in-house, it still likely would be a while before they got around to it.
