What exactly are the differences between the two? It seems as though C2D is capable of faster speeds, but is there a difference speedwise between a 2.16 CD and a 2.16 C2D?

Also, are there other differences? For example, does the C2D use less battery? Run less hot? Make you breakfast in the morning?

Thanks for the help.

From the reviews I've seen, the C2D is typically 5-10% faster than the CD, but on certain benchmarks can be as much as 40 or 50% faster. Not really a big loss for us first-generation MacIntel owners, all told.

Indeed. The big benefits of the C2D MBP's seem to have less to do with the CPU itself as much as other changes that have improved it overall (new rear vent design, allowing for cooler and quieter operation and a higher clocked GPU).
