Hello All,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find a definitive answer,

can anyone tell me, is the kernel_task 64bit in lion by default ?

like in activity monitor is everything 64bit now?

Thanks,
John

You can easily see that with system information (through tools or :apple: => about this mac => more info => system report).
Open system information and click on Software, it should say "64-bits Kernel and Extensions: Yes"

Oh sorry, I must have given the wrong impression, I don't have lion, i'm an iOS dev but not in the mac dev program.

So I guess I was just wondering is everything fully 64bit by default on lion? even the likes of itunes?

Ah, my bad. Everything seems to be 64-bit in Lion, except iTunes (10.3.1). I believe iTunes 10.5 beta is fully 64-Bit however.
