Should i use vacuum cleaner from the bottom holes and the exhaust? Also do i need to open a ram cover to vacuum here as well?
What have you done to the poor computer to have a reason to clean out dust from inside it?Should i use vacuum cleaner from the bottom holes and the exhaust? Also do i need to open a ram cover to vacuum here as well?
Sure, but it says in his signature that it's a 2020 computer. There's no way that that would get enough dust to warrant a cleaning, at least not during normal use.
Well, i previously had a 2019 iMac, and after 10 months of a daily usage, it got a dust inside the LCD itself (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/did-you-know-about-dust-problem-in-27-imac.2122476/), not to mention inner space, it was dusty as hell. Hence i'm curious, should i clean it with a vacuum cleaner at least once in a month in order to prevent this issue, if so, should i vacuum it from the bottom, or from the rear holes?Sure, but it says in his signature that it's a 2020 computer. How old was it?
Oh. Wow. I did not know that.Well, i previously had a 2019 iMac, and after 10 months of a daily usage, it got a dust inside the LCD itself (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/did-you-know-about-dust-problem-in-27-imac.2122476/), not to mention inner space, it was dusty as hell. Why don't you clean your iMac with a vacuum cleaner instead of forcing fan to work on a full speed?Она не проблема, если вы не упустите ее.
Damn, i hoped they fixed it in 2020's... Seems it's like a roulette with a dust inside the screen. I had 2017 iMac 5k, and even after 1 year of heavy usage it had no dust in the screen.Just saw yesterday my 2020 iMac ordered on day one already has dust under the display. 4.5 months of usage. Apple Care will help, but boy will I be glad to leave this heavily compromised design in the dust where it seems to want to be. Now I wait for the new MBP's or hope the Apple Silicon iMac's dont have fans in them? That also means I'm hoping for the new Apple display that may or may not fix these issues. When will the absurd compromises end Apple? Why does it take so many years to right the ship? This has been a problem for every iMac of this design now. I knew my average temps were getting higher, now I know why. Great last intel machine that I hope to be rid of before 2021 is over.
i guess you got the luck, a nice assembled LCD panel.2020 iMac, ordered on day one, and has been in heavy use from August 2020 in a VERY dusty environment (fabric shop) and no dust under the display what so ever.
Well, applecare does replace the LCD, but it takes 1-2 weeks, they don't offer a temporary iMac meanwhile. I clean my desk every morning with a wet rag, hope it would help.Vaccuuming the iMac doesn't help much, but it a must anyway.
Other things you should try:
1. Keep the environment around the iMac as less dusty as possible.
2. Buy Apple Care => If dust get inside the LCD, just take it to Apple Service Center and have it replaced under Apple Care coverage.
Sucks to have this issue... Hope yours would be fixedI have 2019 iMac which developed this problem just after the expiry of twelve month warranty🙄
Taking it into the Genius Bar this weekend as it’s getting worse ...
