Correct way to watch video as a floating window

I was using Directv and made the video player into a floating window and then I wanted to pull up another app from the dock to switch to that while keeping the floating video player, though pulling up the new app closed both the Directv page as well as the floating player. What is the correct way of doing this?

There isn’t one because Directv won’t add PIP to their app.

Yep. For whatever reason they have never had it on the Directv app.

Directv Now has it....making it more head scratching.
