hi,

my current version of chrome running on imac with 10.11.6 has frozen and every attempt to uninstall it and then re-install a new fresh version opens with the same notice " chrome was not shut down properly" if i try and restore it, as prompted it just spins and spins so i trash the application download another and when it opens it has the same issue. so, i downloaded canary and it runs fine, but i would rather not be on this developer version.

Is this corrupted on my iMac or Google server ?
how do i completely get a fresh version of chrome.

Trashing the app isn't removing all the associated files. That is why you keep going in circles. I suggest you use this software to better delete apps.

Thanks, I tried something similar and now your suggestion and same result, why in the world would Canary be working but not Chrome? Then removed both thru app cleaner and same old.brutal. works fine with Safari , Canary, but will not reinstall a working version of chrome
