Costco uk has nmp

If I were to pick a top five places least likely to find a nMP for sale, Costco would be well embedded within it.
What next? Tesco selling Aston Martins?

They sell a lot of Apple kit including Mac minis so I wouldn't be surprised.
My local one outside Bristol has some very large screen TVs in stock which are significantly more expensive than any stock nMP.
Must pop down there tomorrow for a look see. Pizzas are pretty good even if no nMPs!

Costco!? Ha, John Lewis didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked them if they were going to stock it.
Ha, I bought the Mac pro 1,1 from them, in those days it was also cool that
they offered a 2 year warranty = better than buying from the Apple store
... don't think they had high street stores then !!

Our local costco here in Silicon Valley has $127,000 diamond rings and $60,000 watches for sale. I doubt they sell many, but it's fun to note such things on my way in to buy our weekly staples.
The more interesting thing is that, at least here in the US, Costco had a huge stomping breakup with Apple a few years ago and stopped carrying any Apple products. Instead their computing and personal-media offerings have degenerated into a stew of ugly uber-crappy laptops, a chaotic jumble of Android phones, and whatever schlocky tablets they can get at a discount. The consequence is that Walmart and Best Buy offer much better selections of stuff folks actually want to buy than Costco does. Perhaps this report is an early indication that Costco has come to its senses and will resume offering Apple products.
My wife checked with the information desk at the store in Bristol this afternoon.
There are three available in three Costco stores, Thurrock, Manchester and Watford. They cannot be ordered online or transferred between stores. There's a couple of hundred pounds discount from the look of the price she was quoted.

They have very strange policies in the UK depending on the percieved area they are in.
When the Xbox one came out it only went into about 50% of stores, and they have 4K LG TVs in about 20% of stores all broken down by the Customer wealth classifications they use, all VooDoo and Marketing!
But they do seem to have had a lot more Apple Gear of late on top of the normal iMacs, they got iPad Airs very quickly and the 128Gb version as well a while before it appeared elsewhere.
Asda ( Wallmart ) have now started selling the new iPad.....I doubt it will be long before we see them selling Macs too. They sell pretty much all the major Windows laptops already...I can't see much difference buying from them than going to the Apple store, although as mine is nearby, I'd always of there.
Unfortunately, Apple and Costco US had a falling out a few years ago. Over what? The iPad, IIRC. It happened near the end of 2010. Its odd, because not too much later Sam's Club (Walmart) started carrying iPads.
I never really shopped at Costco, store is too disorganized for my liking. I prefer Sam's Club, but that just me. Anyway, I don't remember if they carried Macs in the US. iPods and iTunes cards they did, but I don't recall about Macs and iPhones.

Probably over pricing. Costco doesn't like being told what to sell things at and Apple doesn't like stores undercutting anyone else.
Not a bad deal at all. Anyone see this in the US? I know the Costco in Vegas definitely has no Mac Pros.
