Basically I'm not sure whether anyone would have tried this yet, but i'm wondering if anyone out there has any experience in running Max/MSP on one of the new 11.6 airs. They are really beautiful computers, and if i were to purchase one i'd get it fully upgraded with 4gb ram and a 1.6 ghz processor because a mac this size would be great for live performance using Max/MSP, but if the computer wouldn't be able to handle it I'd rather not waste my money

Thanks

Curious, what is max/msp? Obviously I can't answer but curious what that is. Game? Math program? Music program?

Hey yeah it's a music program primarily, but it's used for many different things, sort of a meeting between music and computer science. People use it for loads of really cool experimental laptop based music.

check this guy out on youtube who plays an invisible violin

Cool.

Thanks very much man, am still a bit dubious though, the processor in the MBA is veeery slow, even in comparison to my current Macbook, which is approaching 4 years old. I've used the program on lots of different machines, but none with a processor as slow as this one.
