My company laptop is a Windows-based HP. I use two big monitors in the office. Is there a way that I could use my new 12.9 Pro as an additional monitor when I’m away from the office?
You can, as the poster above me mentioned, but I wouldn't. If your company laptop has a USB-C port, there are now portable USB-C monitors out there (so that you're not HAVING to use DisplayLink, which also is subpar and needlessly annoying). Asus makes a couple of them. I'd recommend checking them out.My company laptop is a Windows-based HP. I use two big monitors in the office. Yes, you can use Duet Display for a cheap price in order to turn your iPad into a monitor. My company laptop is a Windows-based HP. I use two big monitors in the office. Is there a way that I could use my new 12.9 Pro as an additional monitor when I’m away from the office?
Yes, you have several solutions, from free (but poor), to subscription based to dongle based...
Spacedesk: free but in my experience pretty unreliable... still a better than nothing starting point
Duet display: $10 wired one-off, $30 per year subscription wireless
Lunadisplay: $110-130 one off for a usb C / HDMI dongle (wireless)
Then there is no way to use you iPad as a monitor, these solutions all requires display drivers that can be either x86 or from the Windows Store.I guess I should mention that I cannot download any software onto the corporate device.
Oh, that’s a killer. You might be out of luck if you don’t have Admin rights.I guess I should mention that I cannot download any software onto the corporate device.
