So I've noticed many people saying that Apple Music has screwed up their iTunes music library in one way or another. I'm just curious if their might be a conflict if one has both iTunes Match and Apple Music turned on at the same time. I did sign up for Match but turned it off recently cause I couldn't really figure it all out. I was hoping to upgrade old 128k iTunes song purchases to the 256k version but couldn't find a way to do that. Anyways I was just curious if there would be a conflict of having both services active at the same time. Like many other people I have thousands of songs all organized just the way I like it to be.

Also despite that I have not yet upgraded to iOS 8.4 which would give me the new Music App I actually agree with this guy in this video. The Music App should have been left alone and they should have had a separate Apple Music App. The old Music App didn't have the iTunes Music Store within it. Just a button that takes you to the iTunes Music App. They could have just added a button that would take you to a new Apple Music App. I've long believed if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Regarding your point about upgrading your 128 tracks to 256 - it's actually pretty simple.

On your computer version of iTunes make sure the tracks are 'matched'. Simply delete the songs from iTunes and when prompted allow the files to be deleted from your hard drive too. (Back them up if this sounds scary). Then, the songs will still appear in your iTunes but greyed out. Simply click on the cloud icon next to each song and it will download the 256 version to your computer into the original folder.

Edit: having said that, I haven't downloaded the new iTunes yet so I don't even know if this is still possible in union with Apple Music.

Well I don't have the latest iTunes. I'm still on iTunes 11. But I'll try that and see what happens. It just seems many are having problems with Apple Music wrecking their music library in one way or another. I don't want that.

EDIT:
So I followed your instructions and upgraded all my old 128k iTunes purchases to 256k. Thanks for your help. it was bothering me for a long time cause I couldn't figure it out. I've been using Apple products since I was a kid (I'm 32) and I can usually figure these things out easily.
