Reset PRAM. Option+R+Command+P while restarting as soon as you hear the chime. You will know it was successful if it restarts again. See if that helps. Sometimes my mouse does that, but a quick PRAM reset solves it, same with my bluetooth speaker. I am guessing you have a non Mac keyboard attached either via bluetooth or USB wireless dongle?

You will want to give a lot more information:
What type of Mac?
built-in keyboard (such as a laptop), or USB wired keyboard, or wireless keyboard?
Can you try typing in the Keyboard viewer? (in your Keyboard pref pane, then the Input Sources tab, click the box "Show Input menu in Menu Bar", then go to that Input menu in the top menubar, and choose Show Keyboard Viewer. You will see an on-screen keyboard. Press keys on your keyboard. The on-screen keyboard should show response to each key you press and release. It's a good way to test your keyboard!

Hmm... "bluetooth" and "wireless" are both wireless (?). Unless you mean that the second keyboard is not a wired USB, but uses an RF dongle that provides a connection to your other wireless keyboard (not bluetooth)

You would want to try plugging in a USB (wired) keyboard, wait for the caps lock key to respond.
Unplug the keyboard, wait a few seconds, and plug back in.
What other devices do you have plugged in to USB? (Keep in mind that your Bluetooth also exists on the USB bus!)

Which Mac do you have?

That is the case the second one uses a dongle. In the Mac, I have my external Windows drive. Hard drive, Printer, DVD player in my thunderbolt display. Everything is working fine now :)Thanks for your advice anyway :)Mac mini 2012.
