So this warning comes up in iTunes when I want to get rid of a song. It was not worded like this under Mavericks and iTunes 11. Can someone clarify this please?

If you delete the song, the file will be removed from your iTunes library, and all devices logged into Apple Music, you can still search for it in Apple Music and play it. If you remove the download, the file will be removed from your harddrive, and not take up space, however the track can still be found in your library and playlist on.
This is the Mavericks version of the message (see El Cap version above). Basically if I want to delete a song from my Mac I would also want it deleted from iCloud.
The wording is different between the old and new messages. The older seems more clear one what's going to happen but the new does not. Why Apple would even change it is beyond me but they seem to be changing some things just for the sake of change.

The message in the first post would delete the song, including from iCloud, by default. You can choose to remove the copy from this computer only as an option. The option would remove the file, but would not affect iCloud.
Post #3 message would remove the song only from this computer, by default would not affect iCloud. You can choose to remove from iCloud and all devices the synchronize to your computer, which is an option.
Apple has just swapped defaults for options between the versions.
Both seem pretty clear to me, and should achieve the purpose of slowing you down when you get ready to hit the "Delete" button.
Perhaps Apple's idea is that this will help avoid complaints when people delete songs, but they keep showing up when the songs are left on iCloud. The default is now to remove the song from all locations, with the option to remove only from this computer, leaving iCloud untouched. Seems less prone to mysterious results now.

I find both screens pretty clear. I do think however the new one is even more so. The old screen you have to read it then tick the box then select delete if you want it removed from iCloud.
The new screen you simply read and select which you want to do.
Delete song deletes it from all your devices and iCloud. Remove download only deletes it from the specific device. Pretty simple to me.

Well you can't always teach an old dog new tricks. I'm used to the old wording so the new wording confused me. So if I understand it correctly in the new (current) way if I simply click the default highlighted option it will remove the selected song from both my Mac and iCloud? Cause that's what I want. If I'm gonna delete a song from my Mac (my "master library") then I don't want the song to remain in iCloud.

The old wording only mentions "iCloud" which is much more vague than "your iCloud music library" and "your other devices".
