Here's a screenshot from the BBC showing a picture of france's contact tracing app. The phone is clearing running iOS but look at the notch at the top, it's significantly smaller.

What are your thoughts?

That tiny notch looks great- but it's extremely doubtful that there's functioning iPhone 12s floating around in different countries.
Its hard to imagine how that photo was taken though.

I highly doubt apple would give the BBC a prototype given their stance on secrecy.

More likely its just a mock up someone made.

Why do you say that. It's clearly not an iPhone, so it cannot be running iOS. There is an OS that originated over at Google as a copy of iOS. It's probably running that.

It is just a screenshot of the iPhone app displayed on an android device.

If I'm not wrong that app is only available for Apple and Google phones.

Probably just the above phone paired with a launcher that looks like iOS. Seems like there's a number of them on Google Play.
