Can you just hack the ipad to run OS X?
what would the problems be with this?
if they make a MBP into a touch screen computer than an ipad cant be that hard.

Sure it could happen.

No they wouldn't be happy.

User experience would suck, just like the current (google Archos 9) tablets that shove a desktop OS onto a netbook spec'd tablet.

The people wanting full OS X on a tablet will want to actually do something with it. Photoshop, video work etc... They won't want to just make a Youtube video saying "see how fast this boots up!!"

Essentially, no. The version of OS X that all of us have is compiled to run on Intel x86 family processors. The iPad has some sort of custom ARM CPU, which means that someone would have to create an x86 emulator for the iPad or a way of dynamically translating the x86 instructions to ARM. The iPad simply does not have enough RAM or CPU horsepower to do this and have it actually be useable.

but yea as u said, wrong architectures!!

Well, you could use gotomypc, Jaadu or other and access a Mac

or logmein.com :)
