Could this raise red flags with AT&T?

I was looking at the detail of my data usage today and most of the data usage from my iphone was fairly small each time. The largest was about 700kb. Then the three times I tethered stick out like a sore thumb. One was 6,000kb, one was 7,800kb, and the other was about 10,000kb. They aren't huge because I didn't keep the phone tethered for very long but it looks like they're big enough to look odd when compared with the rest of the usage. Does AT&T look at usage this closely or do they just pay attention to the total and not look at the detail?
 
Tell them you were surfing a lot of porn that day because your girlfriend/wife just left you. They will feel so awkward and embarrassed they wont want to talk to you anymore.
 
It shouldn't... Here's what I think... someone could be on wi-fi most of the time at home or office... but outside of those two areas, for example in the coffee shop during weekends, or any special occasion that you just gotta use the internet with 3G, that's gonna increase your data usage more than usual... the red flags would pop up like crazy yeah? Just my thought... :)

Yeah but the problem is that you transfer so much more data using a computer than you do using the iphone. Even if you use the internet on the iphone non stop I don't think you would see the huge amounts of usage so quickly like you see when you tether. I wonder if I only have firefox running if that will help lessen that amount of data I use.
 
If they ever question you, tell them that you stream of lot of music, and video through your phone.
 
Don't worry nothing will happen until you reach the 5gb softcap. Even then they will throttle you down until the next cycle.
 
well why are you worried. I goto sleep with flycast streaming mp3s. Will they charge me for that? I doubt it.

Just do t go using bittorrent while tethered LOL
