I just got my iPod Classic (80GB) and a speaker dock set Philips DC199B. The iPod docks right onto the top of the subwoofer thing, and it obviously vibrates as a result. I can physically feel the iPod vibrating in the dock. Will this damage the iPod at all (specifically the harddrive)?

maybe, but you probably should worry more about the giant magnet on the back of the speaker.
email the speaker company and get their CSR to say that the speakers cant damage your ipod. then you can at least get them to replace the ipod if it dies.
