That's what people said about first gen 12.9" when it came out, now 2nd gen is out and already out of stock everywhere

I went from a 9.7 iPad Pro, to the 12.9 2018 iPad Pro,(512 SSD), I SO LOVE THIS! WICKED FAST.The size is perfect for me. NOT impressed with the overpriced Apple Keyboard Folio,(got the NEW BRYDGE key board for the 2018 iPad Pro on order) MOVIES ROCK, watch 2 ESPN GAMES AT ONCE, sweet! BEST IPAD I HAVE EVER HAD!

i know. I'm gonna sound totally off my rocker here, but I've gotten so used to the size of the 12.9 iPad that it just seems totally normal. Now the regular 9.7 or even 10.5 iPads feel like the mini and when I see the mini it just looks like a big iPhone to me. I miss the feeling I had when I first got the 12.9 of "whoaaa this thing is huge". I could imagine going even bigger as long as it was bezel less and light.

I'm gonna say it...15

lightweight. if you are going to go bigger, go frakking bigger. lets have Apple bring back the original Surface, with a matching wall mode. airplay with a flick between them.

YES YES YES YES YES

As an artist, I'm now looking at the quickly expanding lineup of "artist screens", like the new Wacom 16, or the XP Pen Pro or Huion Kamvas... there is absolutely a market for that size. And here's the thing - those screens need to be connected to your laptop, with a separate power brick, and THREE cables, so they're not portable. Plus, they all have parallax (where your pen tip hits the screen is not exactly where your line draws), whereas the iPad does not.

A 15-inch iPad (especially with Photoshop coming to iOS), would sell like hotcakes to artists. Whether that's a big enough market, who knows, but I'd snap one up in an instant.

I’d get a 15” without even thinking about it. But I’m guessing most people wouldn’t.

I Wouldn't say no to a 15 inch iPad. But if I did purchase one, it would easily be a stationary device.

Well, artists consider Wacom Cintiq 16 a device for the road and I carry my 15” MBP with me everywhere - so I wouldn’t call a 15” iPad stationary - however, wherever I’d go with it, it would most likely be used on a desk or leaning back in an armchair.

Which is how I mostly use my 12’9”, come to think of it.

Bigger than 12.9”? Um...Not for an ipad in any traditional sense. A 15” or larger ipad would be a very specialized niche device. It wouldn’t be practical for anyone but artists really. Even for media consumption it would be impractical to hold a device that large close to your face. Kinda pointless. If Apple was gonna make a touch device that large, might as well make an iMac with a touch screen.

Good points, but the hand holding aspect I think a bit different for most people. Most iPad owners I know don’t hold the device in their hands for media consumption. Most people have it on a case or stand or on their lap/knees.
15” laptops are not uncommon and I definitely could see myself using an iPad in a stand in that size.

I would most likely buy a 15” iPP, but only if it could natively connect to my mbp as a pen display.

Edit- wanted to add, if Apple made a 15” MBP slate with pen input, I would rather buy that and probably stick to a 12.9” iPP as my more portable secondary display/tablet. But that’s even less likely than a 15” iPP, so...

Similar here; I use my 12.9 (gen 2) as a second monitor with my HP Zbook 15 mobile workstation when I’m at home or traveling. Works great but often wish it was a little larger.

Hope they make an iMac 27" containing both systems and that you can have both upright and landscape mode to draw on. Would buy it :)

I can definitely see this happening, the question is will Apple cave into copying Microsoft...

This might fall into the "we'll never make a touchscreen computer" pit...

But yeah, it would be cool.
