Hello dear friends. I m the beginning of the creating adobe after effects I am more interested animations. As you know new m1 has not been optimized with the adobe creative tools. Currently I need to get a strong system to keep me for next years with safe. i am student and living in a foreign country. Next year I will change my country too and changing a place always hard... That's why I want to get new m1 mini. However I checked many website and videos I am still suspected to buy new m1 16gb mini . Guys do you think if I buy that mini m1 and even start to work with Adobe after effects can I go with them at least some years? I hope new optimization will make it perfect but of course i would like take your opinion.

Thank you so much for responding my text. Do you think that am I able to use smoothly AE as a starter until the real optimization?
I don't use After Effects so have no idea about it's performance. I use Audition and it works well. I am about to start using Premiere Pro for a project and in testing, it worked fine. However, I am not a heavy Premier user

If you primarily use the Adobe suite, consider getting a Windows machine with an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU. That is the setup Adobe optimizes for. If you want to get an M1’s Mac, understand that it will take Adobe some time to finish the final versions, and work out any performance issues. You could also pick up an Intel Mac refurb, then make the jump to Apple Silicon when more software is available and running smoothly.

I am under the impression that in some foreign countries, it is not uncommon for the employee to bring their own computer with them to do work on. It's not something that is done in the U.S. so I am only speculating about foreign countries here.

If it is something that is expected of employees, you might want to check with some of the places you'd like to see yourself working someday to find out what kind of hardware they are using. Macs have been more mainstream in the design fields traditionally, so it is always a good idea to work with the same platform as your peers.

M1's are new... in fact, the ones that are currently available are considered the low-end designs. Do you see yourself using a low-end design professionally? Things to consider. Typically real projects require real horsepower. So the cheapest version on the market is usually not going to cut it in the long run. Apple has more powerful computers slated to come out later this year... still not their flagship models, but above what is currently available.

Your best source for answers will be with your peers... the people around you doing the same stuff as you are planning to do. Reach out to them. Find out what they are using and why. Every market is different. Know yours.

Thank you so much for responding. I was thinking about it however you know currently GPU Nvidia stocks extremely terrible. I can not find anything (nvidia) which is good for my system.
