I thought I'd never buy paid apps and it took me a long time until I bought my first paid app. Then, one paid app lead to another and I now admit that I will most likely buy paid apps more often than I thought. So, I think should at least buy iTunes gift cards at discounted price. Where can I get the best deals on them?

From what i have read... the "best deals" tend to relate to stolen cards. There have even been people that have had their accounts frozen and lost access to their music/apps.

I don't think there are many legitimate places to buy deep discounted cards - but that is an opinion :D

Actually, BestBuy often has deals. Not tremendous, but worth looking out for.

Often, they have a promo for a 3 pack of $10 for $25 (16% discount).

Recently they had a $50 card for $40 (20% discount).

HOw often do they have them? The downside of not working there anymore huh? LOL! Nice loss leader deal :D

But i'd much rather watch and wait for a deal like that - than risk buying somewhere else that might not be on the up and up. I would bet that kind of thing would be more prevalent the next 4-6 weeks too. Draw you into the store!

Too bad i'm broke

Yeah, I give out a lot of iTunes cards to colleagues, reviewers, etc. (easier than micromanaging promo codes for my apps). I can't afford for the cards to be illegitimate, and 16% to 20% discount makes it easier on the wallet.

I'll try to remember to post here when they have another deal. Check out www.BensBargains.net or one of the similar sites.

Best Buy deal on iTunes giftcards

I'll try to remember to post here when they have another deal. Check out www.BensBargains.net or one of the similar sites.

As promised, here's a deal... I have no relationship w/ BestBuy or PayPal, other than as a customer of both:

BestBuy has $20 back for purchases of $100 or more when you pay via PayPal, through Nov 16.

It doesn't seem to matter what the item is. So you could get multiple iTunes gift cards, totaling $100, for 20% off, after rebate (deposited to your PayPal account). One rebate per account. Must order online, but can choose free pickup in store.

Here's the info:

Receive $20 cash back on purchases of $100 or more excluding tax and shipping ("Offer"). Offer applies to transactions at www.bestbuy.com when you use PayPal as the payment method. Offer begins November 8, 2009 and ends November 16, 2009, or as long as the Best Buy website indicates that the $20 cash back promotion is available, whichever occurs first. To receive this Offer, you must use a U.S. PayPal account in good standing and complete a qualifying purchase no later than November 16, 2009. The maximum amount of cash back per PayPal account is limited to $20 USD. The cash back will be deposited into your PayPal account within 2-3 weeks after the end of the promotion.

Thanks Todd - dang, wish i had $100. HMPH.

Because, i'm pretty sure i could spend it all on iTunes......

Good news... Best Buy has (3) $10 iTunes cards for $25, through Saturday.
(online during Thanksgiving, and also in store Friday and Saturday)

And, for what it's worth, one of my apps is FREE through Black Friday... AutoRingtone MUSICAL! (And AutoRingtone PRO is half off)

I think you said you had an iPod touch... If so, you should be able to create ringtones for a non-iPhone phone, too.

I believe Target is also having a $25-for-$20 iTunes card sale as well for black Friday. It's not worth the trip alone, but if you're there already, it is good.
