Counter-Strike And Uni-Macbook Pro

I have a Uni-body Macbook Pro with:

2.53 GHZ
4GB Ram
512 Nvidia 9600GT
320GB Hdd

Why are my framerates 8-16FPS for both CounterStrike Source and TF2?

You're in Windows or what? What version? Bootcamp or Parallels?

are you using the 9600 or the 9400? make sure you've got the right one selected via the energy saver settings if you are using OSX

I'm on the Mac side using steam for macs. Team fortress 2 and CS:S running at the 9600Gt card. Could it be that my hdd needs formatting? From what I hear from people, they're getting an extremely smooth gameplay.

That's the weird thing. Everything was turned off, each player and environment looked like clay.And I was still getting spikes of 10-25fps
