Hi, I have a 15 inch macbook pro with the nvidia 8600M... i used to get 90+ fps in the game with settings on high... now, i get like 10 fps or 30 fps max... i run it on an external display, and it was never a problem before... any advice?

Hello,

this is something i read somewhere and worth a try,

boot cs:s and then go to Task manager the right click the cs:s process and set affinity. So cs can use one whole core.

let me know if this helps.

fps slow

This is a really old post, but steam released a mac version without bootcamp of counterstrike source. I am getting 10 fps on my 20'' iMac. This is a recent addition to macs limited gaming so I can't find many posts about this specific topic. Anyone have similar fps problems with the new counter-strike mac os x as of june 2010?

thanks,
