I installed Steam with no problems on Windows XP SP2.

I can run CS 1.6 without any problems, but when I try to run CS:S and DoD:S - I get a problem. I see the "Loading..." screen with the 2 CT players, but then the screen goes black.

I can ctrl+alt+del out of the game, but does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm assuming this is either a Macbook or Mac Mini, correct?
Well to get the game to work in DX Level 7 mode:
Right click the CS:S or DoD:S icon on the desktop and go to properties. Under the shortcut tab, go to the "target" line. At the end of the line, add -dxlevel 70. Make sure there is a space before and after -dxlevel.

Anyway, I have a 2.0ghz Macbook with 1.25gb ram and my fps in source is about 10-15.

Yah, it's a Macbook.

Is there anyway to get it running in OpenGL?
