Is there a way to know the country where the Iphone was sold ? I am buying an iphone from somebody and I want to make sure it is from united states.

Maybe you can get the IMEI and call Apple? Or ask the seller?

I dont know the seller and I am not sure if he has a receipt. I'll try calling apple stores and see if they can help.

Is there a way i can see it in the iphone?

Yes, in settings > general> about. You have to ask him for it. If he isn't willing to give you that info, then he probably isn't worth buying from.

Oh ok. Thank u. I will ask the seller, but since I dont know him I would be more sure if I check it from the phone directly.

Great. That's good it's a local seller. :) When you get the phone, you should just pop in an AT&T sim and see if it works.

I got the phone today, it works without any issues. Thanks a lot for helping me out.
