hi, i have jb 3gs 16gb, jb using blackra1n and sn0w and using with tmo. i had first activated using att sim card and then did jb and using with tmo, i am encountering couple of issues and would highly appreciate any help:

1. if the phone was activated using att sim, do i need pushfix? I have applied pushfix but I can just restore and do jb again withpout pushfix and will i get all push notifications?

2. under wifi settings, when i select my enterprise proxy we are made to select a proxy, but whenever i enter the proxy details, and click on wifi settings, the http proxy settings is lost, this means i cannot use proxy at all in wifi. i have experiencing this issue just recently, the only thing i downloaded new is backgrounder/proswitcher, would this be causing the issue?

please help and thanks in advance.

Not only do you not need PushFix if you activated with an AT&T SIM, you absolutely should not install it. PushFix is only for hacktivated phones, and will completely screw up your push notifications if you activated with an AT&T SIM.

No, Backgrounder and Proswitcher cannot mess up your proxy settings. I don't know what your problem is, but I second AppleJuiced in suggesting a fresh restore, activating with your buddy's SIM and re-jailbreaking and re-unlocking.

Thanks guys, I highly appreciate it. as a follow up, following is the process i use to jb and unlock, can you quickly verify if this is the correct one?

1. restore with att sim and activate it again
2. Put an non AT&T sim in
3. Put phone in DFU (black screen)
4. Do a full restore with iTunes
5. Run blackra1n to jailbreak
6. Install Cydia/snow.
