Cousin works for Apple.

So after a long day at work i decide to stop by the apple store at the mall where my cousin works at. I asked him when where they going to have info on the iphone, he said. Cuz when the new MaccBook pro came out we found out after getting into the store in the morning for work. All the machines had a white sheet with the specs on it where they had to memorize the specs on them. And as far as AtAt having them..Nope try again. not all stores will have them. Only the really big retail ones will have them in this case this is what they call "A" stores being what stores rank in the most money. Oh and as to the pictures you saw on the icases. Apple better not find out what store did that. They will be in hot water so he saids. any accessory that pertains to the iphone is to be sold the day the phone comes out.


Well gang...some of us wont be getting iphones unless were related to Steve Jobs. or you know someone with mad pull.:(
 
What is the point of this thread? Either

A) You don't have a cousin working at the Apple Store, and are trying to pass off you idea on what will happen as "facts"


B) No one will believe you have a Cousin who works at the Apple Store


C) Even if you do have a cousin there, he doesn't know anything we don't. Apple Store workers aren't told any big secrets, and if he'll tell you those things, then the public should be able to know those things


Also I'm somewhat confused about what you are trying to say....maybe proof read it. You seem to start and stop ideas really fast. (Not a huge deal, I do it sometime too...we all do, we're humans!)
 
I believe it says that all corporate owned at&t retail stores will have the iPhone. Now, of course that may mean some stores get only 1 and others get 100. We'll all find out for 100% sure, no questions, guessing, assumptions, or doubts on the 29th.
 
I spoke to your cousin and I have mad pull. Want to buy my iphone for $800?
 
i figured it would be hard to get one on the 29th. i figured by August i'll see if i want it that bad/see what rumors are flying around with verizon and their answer/a bb with a camera/pearl. I think its pretty bad if you own stock in a company and don't use their service. :p I really want to go to a share holders meeting and raise hell, and say how stupid they are for turning down their offer.
 
ha this post is useless. many apple fans should know that apple employees usually dont get information until its announced.

when i was working for apple's technical support (phones) our knowledge base would update after the announcement and we would have to get off the phones for 1-3 hours to read all the specs and take a (stupid easy quiz/ i just cheat by opening two windows) test(10 questions).

the thing that i m thinking is that iphone information is already in apple's database since its been announced(probably limited to what has already been said).

no problem thats why i work for the state now... you cant get outsource they need you there to become a slave.

:apple: was fun but couldnt see my self there for more then 2 years
 
I'm glad this didn't make much sense to others here, too. At first I thought maybe since it's late and I'm tired that my mind is playing tricks on me. I don't know why a lot of these threads are on here... maybe I'll make one entitled, "NEWS FLASH: Apple to release the iPhone on June 29!!!" That's about as ground breaking as most of these threads.

We don't, I had to order online from the Apple Store. However, we do have schools, so I bought mine through the edu store while working on my Masters. I easily recognize poorly written material and will subject it to ridicule to maintain a light atmosphere here at MR.

This is a stupid and pointless thread....apple store employees DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING about new products. MY cousin actually did work at an apple store for a while and they make you sign 3+ confidentiality aggreements before starting.
 
Yeah, Apple store employees are the absolute bottom rung of the Apple ladder. They know nothing. Anything the tell you is likely a result of them trying to have some fun and get a rise out of you.
 
Well my uncle Bob works for a cleaning company who Apple contracts out to clean their stores, he said that his mate that also works for the cleaning company overheard Steve Jobs say that the iPhone will have thought reading capabilities so when you need to call your mum you just think of your mum and it rings her! Plus it can teleport you to your nearest starbucks when you feel tired!

they won't get in trouble for selling the cases because they're not Apple products, they look like Belkin or some other 3rd party. they can sell 3rd party accessories all they want, whenever they want. they have to follow Belkin's street date for a Belkin product, not Apple's street date. it happens all the time with products. there are always video game accessories sold before the consoles go on sale.
