Following on from my previous thread, I’m having trouble getting my iMac to power up again after replacing the CPU and hard drive for an SSD. For a while I was getting the single green LED when connected to the mains, and after trying a few different things - holding the lower button down for a few seconds before connected to the mains and then connecting to the mains without letting go of the power button, then letting go and pressing it again has made the fan suddenly jump into life (but sounds like it’s running at full tilt) but still only one green LED though. Anyone got any ideas?

I had problems after my iMac SSD upgrade because I had failed to properly attach the main display cable. Re-opened the unit and in fact it wasn't properly attached. Fired up right away.
