Does this value of 1.79V CPU Core Voltage (via istat) seem high or is the normal. Computer temps under normal loads are around 42c - 53c but that voltage seems high for the CPU core voltage value, maybe an issue with stat?

Apple touted the redesigned cooling for these. It's quite possible that this is normal. Best thing is to ask Apple. Get someone on the phone and have 'm log into your machine to see what you're seeing.

Are the fans running too high, too long? If not, what makes you think you have a problem.

All good questions, fans are running about 1100 RPM which is normal and temps also seem to be normal. But still unsure of what an increased Core Voltage means or even if there is an issue.
