I've looked all over, but I can't find an explanation for what %Nice stands for when looking at the CPU activity. User, Sytem, Idle, I get, but %Nice has me a little baffled.
 
I believe they are processes which will back out of the way if the recourses are needed. So they will only use CPU when you have the CPU to spare.
 
That makes sense as I have a program running that does just that.

It's a pretty interesting feature now that I know what it's there for :) .
