Hi guys,
Anyone knows what's the CPU of the New Mac Pro ?
Is the 6 core $2999 version contains the exact same CPU as the 2013 Mac Pro which is a E5 1650 v2?????

Thanks

It is the same parts it had before.

They are just adjusting the "standard" configurations.

It's all the same technology that was offered in 2013. Just that the base model has been changed to include what used to be offered at higher prices.

But the higher $3999 model 8 core would be a latest XEON cpu? while 6 core is the same 2013 CPU?

All CPUs are still E5v2, they can't upgrade those without making a whole new machine.

It is much easier to simply consider it a price drop across the configs, than the misleading wording of "upgrade" from Apple and press.
