I've been doing searches here and found lots of info.
Maybe too much for me to sort it all out.

I've got the chips and I'm ready to install them.

For those here who have done this procedure....

What would you recommend as the best "help" resources?
Videos, step by step written instructions, articles etc.

Any last minute tips before I jump in to this?

Many thanks in advance.

If you have a 2010 Mac Pro (5.1) I believe the procedure is a lot easier as the CPU sockets are already set up for the integrated heat shields so should be simple, if you have a 2009 (4.1) that you have EFI hacked to 5.1 with dual cpu's then it becomes a bit trickier,

Good luck either way and if you've done your research then all good!

Failure to prepare is preparing to fail.

Thanks for all the help and advice!
This forum is great!

The upgrade went smoothly and the machine is working fine.
A bit nerve wracking for me, but I just took my time and followed the directions.
I was very nervous waiting for the start up chime...
Quite a relief to hear that lovely sound and then she booted up just fine.

Nice speed boost.
Well worth the time and trouble.

Geeze, I just read some of the concurrent threads.
So sorry to hear to hear of the troubles.
I'm thinking I lucked out.

In my case, the original Apple thermal was kind of sloppy.
I would never have known.

I'm getting lower temps now.

I'm sending encouragement to all.

Too funny!
Thanks again for the help and advice.
Just got a GB of 32124 and I'm very happy.
Amazing that this machine can keep up with the new one.
