Yes. Chrome will use a different video codec that is maybe a bit better (smaller file size or better quality), but will be decoded on the cpu.
i've edited it, thanx, and temp is 55 C in safari vs 70 C in Chrome... and Chrome is loading videos much faster..., and nothing i can do with it?Yes. YouTube prefers Google's VP9 codec. Safari doesn't support it, so YouTube reverts to a different codec, which is hardware accelerated on your machine. Chrome uses VP9 which is likely not hardware accelerated on your machine, or at least only hybrid accelerated.
