do the macbook pros change the speed of the cpu when you turn it to better battery life? I installed core duo temp and it still says its running at 2.33 when even when I go to better battery life. you know how a pc turrns the cpu down so it doesnt use as much power. Is there a program that will do this or how does it use less power?

Thanks.

It's the same on a/c or battery. CPU speed varies, depending on demand.
The only exception is if you run on a/c with the battery removed - then it drops to 1GHz.

Energy Saver panel adjusts sleep times for display and computer. The preset for "Better Battery Life" sets the MB for a shorter display and computer sleep timeouts and dims the display.
