About a month ago I accidentally cracked the bezel on my MB Pro. I decided to put black electricians tape over the crack so that it wouldn't grow and to keep dust and irritants from possibly entering. At first it was mostly a cosmetic issue but after about a week or two thin vertical lines started to appear on the screen right above the crack. I've read online that the bezel is a relatively easy DIY repair, but I doubt that will get rid of the lines on the screen. Is this a problem I can fix on my own, and if not, does anybody have an idea of how much repair would cost me?

It would be a BIG JOB to try to repair on your own. It's going to take the right tools, and a high level of confidence and ability.

To get it repaired by someone else (such as Apple)?
I'd reckon $700-800.

You haven't told us WHAT YEAR it was made.
If it's more than, say, 3 years old, I'd put that money towards something new.
Or... possibly... Apple refurbished.
