really sad. I love my SE and there’s nothing wrong with it. But it’s shattered glass. Almost cut my finger trying to use it.

Did a quick google search and could find none online from large retailers like apple and Best Buy. Has anyone happened to see new ones available for sale at some retailer recently?

I guess going to the apple store to get the glass repaired is an option. Just hope they could do it in person. Can’t be away from this thing for more then a day lol

Thanks,,

I don’t trust aftermarket parts when it comes to iPhones. You never know if it’s going to work like it should or not. If it does, will it even last for 2+ months? It’s not worth the risk to me. My recommendation is to either take it to Apple or see if you can find another one around the same price that it costs to repair it. It all depends on if you look for new or used and what storage capacity you have and the options out there. But the iPhone SE is pretty cheap now. Swappa seems to have good deals on them.

But, both options are on the table, the two I’d personally pick, anyway.

I agree. I have used aftermarket parts before and it was hit or miss. I would recommend an Apple store or authorized repair facility.

Depends on what you brought. I have replaced my iPhone 5 aftermarket display. It was fine. I have no issue with the display.

Get a genuine screen if you can, it’s fairly easy to replace - takes 10 minutes tops. You may as well replace the battery while your there if it’s anything under 100% health.

Sorry my wording was bad guys. I don’t want to buy a new screen. I meant buy a whole new phone.

Having a hard time finding any new ones for sale anywhere. I don’t trust anything eBay so was hoping some retailer had a few laying around somewhere.

I recently replaced my 32GB SE with a sealed new 128GB SE, they do exist on eBay but just make sure it’s from a high feedback seller and ask for more photos etc.

When searching, search for iPhone SE sealed.

I bought my 6S on Amazon. First one I bought (both sold as “unlocked” was locked because money was owed on it to AT&T. Got a refund on it. Second one also locked, but AT&T unlocked it on request. Works good. Now has been activated on two diferent providers without a problem. Currently on Xfinity.

You can’t purchase genuine Apple parts, as Apple doesn’t sell/distribute OEM parts to consumers (Other than the SIM card tray.) Even if it says ‘genuine’ OEM display on third party sites, it’s likely counterfeit. (There would also be a serial # attached to the display indicating Apples origin.)

I used ubreakifix to get my screen replaced. Still working fine some 10 months later!

I just replaced a 6s screen. But 10mins max is hard to believe. It took me about an hour.
While i did screen replacements a couple of times there is always something wrong. Miss alinement of the proximity sensor or camera or display cables. Touch id also has to be transplanted from the old display.

Regarding battery i don’t think 99% health has to be replaced ;)

An SE screen is easy, metal plate covering the connectors and that’s it. Literally a easy fix, I do them often. 6S is slightly different.

And with regards to my comment above about a genuine screen I meant you can get good used screens online.

Ok but still u need to get touch id from the old display. Otherwise u’ll loose the functionality.

Yep thas what I did and it came out perfectly, price was 129 and totally happy, phone is like new now :)
Nice that u are happy. But the price from Apple really is a ripoff.
Regarding that they have material costs of about $10 u see what they do here...

Amazon Renewed, Swappa...

Amazon ‘renewed’ has some fairly poor reviews for quality issues with customer feedback. I’d personally pay extra for Apple’s refurbished devices direct with a guaranteed warranty and customer service added.

I don’t recommend using aftermarket screens. The quality isn’t the same, appears washed out. I speak from personal experience. Not worth it unless you are truly strapped for cash.

I agree if quality is a priority. I didn't see any SE iPhones available on the store last I checked.
