My mum accidentally dropped my iPod today. Im disappointed but i will live. I thought i would post some images of the cracked screen to horrify you guys  and also the hard-rive is all buggy it makes some kind of hissy noise.

Well any way what kind of money am i going to expect to repair the screen and *ouch* probably hard-rive. Also its only 4 months old would the warranty cover it, i know it going to be no :( or should i buy i new one ;)

Warning the images may disturb some of you, look at caution :p

Back in the day I had cracked the screen on my iPod. I decided to send it back anyways with the problem as "video and screen issues" and to my amazement I was sent a brand new iPod.

Now this was back in the day with an original 5 GB iPod and really before the iPod was famous like it is now. Don't know if you will be as lucky as me but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for you help. Its also not the screen but the hardrive is making a really loud hissing noise. It works but............

It looks like it is expensive so to repair so i might just use my pda as my portable player. Untill the new generation is released where color will be standard within the regular iPod range. This will hopefully be cheaper as well.

Cheers to hoping :D

i dont think apple would replace it for you. you could try but the chance isnt likely. i would most likely buy another - but dont buy one know (unless you cant last without it) wait for another generation to come out
