iPad Pro Cracked screen

Hello all,

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post, but just wanted some views! I was using my iPad Pro tonight and put it down on the bed to go and answer the door. I came back and saw that the screen was cracked around the home button, can’t think how this could’ve happened. My phone was also on the bed next to it and all I can think is that I put it down on top of the phone and this cracked the screen, is this possible? I am going to look into getting it repaired next week but just a bit baffled! Has anyone had any experience of their iPad screen cracking like this without it being dropped? See attached pic.

No nothing like that at all. Just the iPad and my phone on bed. I was alone in the house at the time.

Whoa! That’s scary, since you were alone in the house. Almost looks like some kind of an impact break, as though something fell on it.

Could it have possibly had something to do with the case? ?

That looks like a hard impact crack. I hope you have AppleCare+ because that is going to be expensive without it.

Thanks all. All I can think is that when I put it down I put it face down onto my phone and it cracked it. It didn’t feel like I put it down hard, but I really can’t think of any other option. Thanks for all your replies
