I've been doing some research on this for a while, but I have found nothing of value. I have a beta build of Leopard installed on my Mac right now, and I want to update that to 10.5.1. Is this possible? I have the update downloaded and extracted, but it doesn't want to install. I have got it to run without giving me and errors, but it gets to the 'configuring install' phase and just hangs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest (and only legal, ethical way) is to go buy Leopard, install it, then run Software Update. That's the only advice you're going to get from anyone here.
