Crackling Distorted Sound 2017 15” MBP

Updated my 2017 15” MBP to Monterey and all audio output is distorted with crackles and static sounds. Anyone else experiencing this?

Never had any kind of audio output issues until Monterey.

Never had any kind of audio output issues until Monterey.

I have issues on M1 MacBook Pro. Sound crackling and usually making safari, Teams and other applications nonresponse for at least a minute before it comes back to normal. Also randomly the notifications echoes continuously. I am hoping they will fix these issues with the next release

Issue seems to be resolved in dev beta 2. No crackling so far.

I am getting this on my 2018 15" MBP. It only started recently and only happens some of the time.
