Hi
recently got command and conquer 3 but every time i play it i get a really horrible crackling distortion through my usb speakers (Bose companion 5). I have checked the EA website and they acknowledge the problem but don't offer a fix! i just wondered if anyone knew of a work around! thanks.

Just as some background info i am using a Mac Pro with the latest version of leopard, and the sound is fine with everything except this game!

thanks in advance

With USB speakers crackling will generally occur when the system is running low on resources.

If you have 3 or less Gigs of RAM, adding more might help. Also plug your speakers into either a powered USB hub or one of the ports on the back, if that's not already the case. Also unplugging other USB devices that aren't needed might help.
