crap, system prefs gone?

I accidently dragged system pref's off my dock while holding cmd and it made an icon thing on the desktop so i just trashed and deleted it and now I can't get into my ssystem preferences.. it's not there.

what do i do? please help.

Oh wait, you deleted it. You're more than likely going to need to restore it off of your Restore CD's using Pacifist.

yeah, but doing that doesn't do anything. it doesn't bring up the prefs.

system prefs isn't in the applications folder.

Ah, I got it back. I used pacifist and my OS X discs that came with the computer. That is a wonderful, wonderful program.

I did an uber fast edit once I realized what you REALLY did. I couldn't replicated it without putting my administrator password in. I run using a standard account.

Yeah, i'm starting to think I should maybe switch to a standard account so I need a password to do things like that. Oh well, everything's good now.
