I am getting crash report every time I attempt to open or reopen Safari. I am using Google Chrome instead. The problem began on Aug 5, right after I restored from an Aug 3 time machine backup. That was to fix other problems. It did fix those problems but Safari stopped working entirely. Previously, Safari frequently froze, but now it will not even open.

Is anyone else in this same boat? Is it possible to reinstall a fresh copy of Safari? Tell me how?

August 7 PROBLEM SOLVED. SEE OTHER THREADS FOR DETAILS.

I had repeated problems/issues when I used DP or Public Beta while preforming a basic install, Safari randomly crashed on a MacBook Pro and MacPro development machines.

I preformed a clean in stall from a USB stick with both DP and PB of the OS and both are solid now.

I would recommend backing up information and preforming a clean install with a USB.

Thanks for the advice. I am a recent convert to Apple and do not know how to do a clean install with a USB.

I am getting a Kernel Panic everytime an attempt is made to open Safari. I do not know how to interpret the details but I have attached it. (Forgive me if I have posted this twice. I'm getting desperate).
